TESTING AND ASSESSMENT

Midterm Exam: It is an exam that is held in the 3rd or 4th week of A1, A2, B1 and B2 levels and consists of grammar, reading, listening and writing parts. Its total score is 100 and it is 40% effective in calculating the score of the relevant course level.

Course Level Exam: It is the exam that is held at the end of A1, A2, B1 and B2 levels and consists of grammar, reading, listening, writing and speaking parts. Its total score is 100 and it is 60% effective in calculating the score of the relevant course level.

C1 Proficiency Exam: This is the exam held at the end of the C1 level. This exam consists of reading, listening, writing and speaking sections, each worth 25 points. The C1 proficiency score obtained as a result of the exam must be at least 70. This score affects the year-end overall success score by 60%. In addition, it is required to get at least 10 points from each of the reading, listening, writing and speaking sections.

Make-up Exam: It is the exam taken by students who have the right to take the C1 proficiency exam but who do not take the exam or who fail the exam despite having taken the exam. The C1 proficiency score obtained as a result of the exam must be at least 70. This score affects the year-end overall success score by 60%. In this respect, it is equivalent to the C1 proficiency exam.

Exemption Exam: This is the exam held at the beginning of each academic year (usually in September or October) for newly registered international associate and undergraduate students and students with Turkish Scholarships. Students who have failed in Turkish preparatory education in the previous academic year can also take this exam. The exemption exam is equivalent to the C1 proficiency exam. Students who score at least 70 points in this exam are considered successful and start their education in their registered programs.


ACHIEVEMENT SCALE

Course Score: It is the score obtained by calculating the scores from midterm and course level exams at the end of A1, A2, B1 and B2 levels according to a certain formula. A student with a course score of at least 70 is considered to have successfully passed the relevant course. The course score is calculated as follows:

C1 Proficiency Score: It is the score obtained at the end of the C1 Proficiency Exam or Make-up exam at the end of the C1 level. The student must score at least 70 points in one of these exams. Students who do not get the mentioned score can repeat the C1 level or take the make-up exam. In C1 level, there is no midterm exam.

Year-end General Achievement Score: It is the score obtained by calculating the A1, A2, B1 and B2 level scores and C1 proficiency score according to a certain formula and must be at least 70. This score will be included in the certificates and diplomas that the student will receive from Hacettepe TÖMER. The year-end overall success score is calculated as follows:
